email error when signing up
I filled out all the fields, checked them for accuracy several times, and I keep being told my email address is incorrect, when it most assuredly is.

I have a dot (.) in my email-address (my.email@yahoo.com). Could this be the problem?

You're right. The problem is in the first '.' in your email, it doesn't work with our email checker. We'll fix that!

Now I can't change my password or location, I get back:
Some errors occured:
* Unknown e-mail address. Please try again.
I am guessing it's the same or similar problem, but I wanted to make sure you knew about it too.

it is now May 2010, and I still have the similar problem - email format name.name@email.com seems to be the problem. cannot log in. also, my location is incorrect. I entered my location, but the map shows a different time zome.
