Respecting the privacy of its users is an important issue to MappedUp. This privacy policy covers how MappedUp processes and protects personal information that MappedUp collects and receives through its website http://www.mappedup.com/ and the MappedUp application that is offered for download there.
Children
Our services are intended solely for persons 13 years of age and older and so this privacy policy makes no provision for children’s use of the MappedUp services.

MappedUp collects personal information when you register with MappedUp to use it’s services or to post content on it. MappedUp nickname
When you post a message, your MappedUp nickname that you are posting under is visible to other users. Your nickname is also visible when you include the MappedUp application in a web site and set it to show your feed and tag subscriptions through flashvars. Your personal information can not be retrieved from this nickname.
Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to either your browser or the MappedUp application and stored on your computer's hard drive. You can configure both your browser and the MappedUp application to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set.
If you reject all cookies, you will need to sign in each time you visit the MappedUp.com website or start the MappedUp application. If you accept cookies from MappedUp, you will automatically be signed in each time you visit the website or startup the application, unless you specifically chose to sign out during your previous session.

Feed and tag subscriptions
MappedUp stores the feeds and tags you subscribe to in it’s database. We use this information in aggregate to generate statistics and other usage information. This aggregated data is publicly available through the MappedUp.com web site.

The MappedUp.com web site and applications contain links to other sites. MappedUp is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites.
Information sharing and disclosure
Generally, MappedUp does not share personal information about you with other people or companies without your consent except under the following circumstances:

Editing and deleting account information
You can change your MappedUp Account Information, at any time. You can also delete your MappedUp account at any time from your account page. Your MappedUp account information is password-protected and stored in a non-reversible encrypted format.

We do not guarantee error-free performance of the MappedUp.com website or application. We may not always catch unintended privacy issues, despite our efforts to do so. We do welcome your feedback regarding any privacy concerns that you have, and we will take prompt corrective action when we learn of any failure to comply with these. MappedUp may update this privacy policy at any time for any reason. If there are any significant changes to how we handle personal information we will send a notice to the email address specified in your MappedUp account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
