They are serving a 1.1Mbps stream (1Mbps VP6 video + 64 Kbps MP3 audio) sized at 534x300 (16/9), using a Digital Rapids StreamZ Live and FME as a backup, from a DVB-T source via SDI input. The stream is served by the FMS3 Limelight platform which sustains a 'very heavy load' in terms of concurrent streams, however exact details on viewership could not be shared.

The user experience both on the page itself as well as in full screen is nice, a fact confirmed by the choice of the public: up to 65% of the users choose Flash, compared to Windows Media which is also being offered. This is an interesting figure, because on a comparable event one year ago during the Evian Masters, DBee reported that only 40% of users picked Flash while over 60% chose Windows Media.
The next match is the semi-final on the 25th of June (that's the game that Germany will win ;-), but note that streams are geo-locked to French web users.

���� 但是，由此引发的一些问题却不得不值得我们深思：

1、关于BSP：

����� 我觉得如果BSP仅仅是为了一个自己的梦想而创立，比方说希望有一个纯净的Blog服务提供给大家（这里的大家指的是能够提供优秀的Blog内容写手）。那么，为了提高整体的安全性、易用性，可以采用限制（或邀请）注册的方式发展。显然，IYUBlog不是这样的地方。如果BSP为了盈利的目的而创立，那么它应该有一个盈利的具体模式，比方说广告或者等知道这家BSP的人越来越多的时候推出收费服务。（其实，我最讨厌这样的BSP，我想这也是IYU最能够吸引我们中大多数人的地方。）显然，IYUBlog也不是这样的地方，至少现在不是。关于这方面内容也没有和IYU的工作人员交流过，我们无从得知。当然，今天我们的目的不是讨论BSP如何盈利或持续发展的。我们希望能够从用户的角度去谈一谈一个优秀的BSP应该是什么样的，一个另我们趋之若鹜的BSP 应该是什么样的。
a、我们希望BSP是免费的；
b、我们希望BSP是快速的、准确的；
c、我们希望BSP是时不时有惊喜给出的；
d、我们希望BSP是自由的、可以自定义的、方便使用的；
e、我们希望BSP是没有广告的（至少是可以让我们自己控制的）；
f、我们希望BSP的客服是贴心的、周到的、关心用户的；
g、我们希望BSP可以提供一个可以交流使用经验的地点（这对双方都有好处）；
h、我们希望BSP可以给我们一个通俗易懂使用Blog的指南（毕竟有很多的用户都是新手）；
i、我们希望BSP是稳定的、安全的、不会经常挂掉的、不会轻易的被GFW掉的；
����� 这只是我个人的一些想法，我们想还有很多人有很多内容想要补充。可能有一些BSP的服务商会想：妈的，伺候这帮人还真难！免费给你使用，你还整天那么大的意见。是的，这帮人却是很难伺候，会时不时的刁难一下你。当然，也有另外一种人。我们要求的并不多，当初选择了你就是因为你的某一个方面吸引了我，如参与IYUblog需要哪些改进调查 中的smile0就说：“总之，我的天呐，再也不要让我在最想上iyublog涂两笔的时候突然down掉了。”他（她）的要求就很简单，我需要的就是安全、稳定（其实这是一个最基本的要求）。当然，如果我当初看重你的优点已经不存在了的时候，我就会毫不犹豫的选择放弃。这就是用户，用户是永远都是娇贵的、用户是永远都会有意见的。只要你让我不顺心，我马上就撇开你！我想找一个Blog托管商还不容易吗？网上多的是！激烈的市场竞争就是这样。现在用户的忠诚度并没有那么高，很多的服务（不仅仅是BSP）都是这样被用户所抛弃的。所以，我们必须重视用户，他们是不容忽视的，他们是我们今后的一切一切的基础。当然，如果你作为一家需要盈利的机构，不可能在方便用户的同时而失去了自己，你需要在方便用户的同时平衡自己的利益。是的，用户永远都不是上帝。你不可能满足他们的一切要求，但是你却必须十二分的重视用户、重视用户的意见。

2、关于最终用户：
���� 应该说BSP的繁荣是最终用户贡献的，至少用户在这个过程当中起到了相当重要的作用。是用户的要求和条件提升了BSP的质量、是用户的苛刻和挑剔创造了多元的BSP市场，是用户最终给了BSP以盈利的机会和条件。但是，有时候我觉得我们应该清楚自己到底要的是什么。市场上没有一个大而全的服务，如果你选择了一个最能适合你需求的服务就可以了。即使有这样的大而全，在一阵兴奋之后你会发现原来这样的服务一点特色都没有，有些东西其实并不是你所需要的，大而全最后的结果往往是没有令人心满意足的精品服务。当你冷静下来之后，你会无所适从继而又一次踏上了寻找的历程。所以，我建议大家能够冷静地想一想，我们到底需要的是什么？

a、免费；
b、稳定；
c、自定义；
…………

���� 还有什么，我想不出太多。我需要的仅仅是一些最基本的东西而已，能够在自己静下心来的时候或者自己想要写一些东西的时候可以有这么一个地方而已！

另，在看了一些的评论之后，我总觉得大家应该原谅IYU的这次事故。事情发生了，肯定要追究责任，我想IYU应该已经做了。并且他们也为此及时的想大家做了道歉 和补救工作 ，希望大家不要因为这样一次事故而放弃了对IYU的希望。至少，他们到现在的态度是另我们放心的。

A new kind of ceramic material has been discovered by the Swedish chemist Saeid Esmaeilzadeh who accidentally cooled down a ceramic substance too fast.

Instead of throwing away the results of the failed experiment, he decided to research the substance. This turned out to be a kind of "super glass" with unexpected properties such as extreme hardness (harder than steel) and high index of refraction.

Saeid started the company Diamorph to commercialize his discovery. Right now, the company is cooperating with the wind power industry to develop more strong and lightweight bearings for wind turbines that have to withstand tremendous pressure and poor lubricant condition.

Congrats to Saeid not just for his research but also for adding some user perspective in the world of research. Saeid earlier said: "If I talk about atoms and bonds and nitrides, people fall asleep at their desks. But if I talk about this wind power plant and the problems we're wrestling with, then everyone wants to join in!"

particles also have a size which reflects the intensity of the emotion expressed & a brightness which indicates the average consensus (agreement/disagreement) on the comment. comments can be spatially clustered by their attributes & particles can be filtered to show exactly what the user would like to see at any given time.
