One new environmentally-themed idea will be covered each day with the panelists weighing-in with their thoughts to kick things off. Readers are then invited to engage and discuss the topic, with the goal [...]SHARETHIS.addEntry({ title: "Distributed Generation on Today’s Power Grid…Discuss", url: "http://ecopolitology.org/2008/06/23/distributed-generation-on-todays-power-griddiscuss/" });

In the following explanation each spring begins in a state of partial compression (pre-compressed).
Input: By compressing the spring which connects the first and second element a Mechanical Chain Reaction (MCR) is initiated.
Each consecutive interacting spring changes its state from pre-compressed to compressed and back to its pre-compressed state until
the disturbed symmetry (all elements) are back in equilibrium.
There is work performed during this process on each individual element.
Friction and a certain applied torque on each element (uplifted weights) slow down the impulse but
do not stop the chain reaction as the pre-commpression in the springs is higher than the extracted torque and total friction on each element.
